The awards process is highly competitive and is given to outstanding and qualified students who plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). The Holte Education Fund scholarships are disbursed twice a year, non-renewable unless otherwise indicated and awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability or national origin.
The Holte Education Fund partners with high schools to increase access and admission to potential HBCU students. Candidates are identified and rewarded based on their significant potential to make a change in their communities and for HBCUs. The overall goal is to ensure successful retention and support to recipients that will make a positive change for their prospective HBCU.
